The future is electric. Or at least, when it comes to Peugeot, the future range of vehicles will be powered by electricity. At the recent 2019 Milan Design Week, motoring aficionados were afforded an exclusive look at the marque’s selection of models, each of which is set to appeal to motorists with a penchant for exceptional design, eye-catching style, and impressive technology.
Arguably the standout model on display was the new Peugeot e-LEGEND concept. First introduced at last year’s Paris Motor Show, visitors to Milan were able to get up close to this unique and distinctive prototype. The retro design takes inspiration from the manufacturer’s classic 504 coupé, with sharp angles, sleek body lines and a menacing look all ensuring it will appeal to those who appreciate both classic charm and contemporary chic.
Powered by an all-electric powertrain, e-LEGND’s 100kWh battery produces 800Nm of torque, meaning it races from a standstill to 62mph in a breathtaking four seconds. Not only that, it also returns an exceptional 372 miles on a full charge - more than enough to cover any journey.
In addition to the e-LEGEND, Peugeot’s electric future features the all-new e-208, complete with Peugeot’s 3D i-Cockpit and seven or ten-inch capacitive colour touchscreen, as well as a selection of new Peugeot Cycles. This range, also present in Milan, includes the electric folding eF01, the LU01, and the eLC01 e-LEGEND - a model that offers a range of up to 43 miles.
