Here at Booths, we’ve always had faith in the reliability of the Peugeot name. In May, however, it was officially recognised in the annual J.D. Power customer satisfaction survey, when motorists voted the French marque ‘Most Dependable Volume Brand’.
The survey gathers data from thousands of motorists across the UK, who rate their cars between the first 12-36 months of ownership. Peugeot drivers gave excellent scores for their vehicles’ reliability, running costs and build quality, putting the brand ahead of rivals such as ŠKODA and Hyundai.
In addition to this accolade, the Peugeot 208 was named ‘Most Dependable Small Car’. Dependability is based on the lowest number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles, and the awards cement Peugeot’s reputation for meticulous construction and engineering excellence.
In a ceremony held on 9 May during Carwow’s ‘Accelerate Live’ event at London’s Science Museum, representatives from Peugeot were handed the awards.
Mark Lendrich, Head of Research at J.D. Power Europe, said: “Long-term reliability has a direct impact on today’s sales and tomorrow’s brand loyalty. Peugeot did a great job in understanding the needs of its consumers, and therefore deserves to win the J.D. Power award for UK’s most dependable brand 2019.”
