Where and When to Watch The Snowman in Chester

Something truly magical is coming to Chester Cathedral this year: the iconic Christmas film ‘The Snowman’. Carrot Productions are offering two enchanting screenings of the film, which will be accompanied by a world class live orchestra. Last year the tour sold out and received excellent reviews, so we are very lucky to have it in our home town this year.

The musicians are some of the best in the UK and will perform the beautiful soundtrack composed by Howard Blake. The evocative ‘Walking in the Air’ song will be sung by a local child from Chester, in perfect timing to the film. This special screening also includes performances such as ‘A Festive Overture’, ‘The Sleigh Ride’, ‘A Donkey’s Tale’ and the ‘Snowman Waltz’.

This film has been cherished by children and adults for many years, so will be the perfect Christmas outing for the whole family. Each performance will last for roughly one hour, with the complete film shown in the second half of the production.

Performances will be on 21December at 3pm and 7pm, and 22 December at 11.30am, 2pm, 5.45pm and 7.45pm – so there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy it.

At Booths of Ditton, we’ll be getting into the festive spirit too, so visit us if you’re looking for a new or used car this winter. Since 1935 we have been offering our services across Chester and are proud of our great local reputation. Drop in to view our current range of Peugeots.
